From secret garage artists to established names, from vibrant horticulturists to international innovators—Creative Mornings is officially making its long-awaited return to Toowoomba after a five-year hiatus. A space where creativity, conversation, and coffee collide, this global movement is all about bringing creative-minded people together to create a space for converstion, engagement and inspiration, all before the workday begins.

Kicking off this Friday, 14th Feb, and then held on the first Friday of every month from 7:30am to 9am at the Empire Theatre, Creative Mornings Toowoomba is hosted by local creatives Jessica Staskiewicz, Amy Willis, and Madeleine Riehl.

Each free session will feature a different speaker from the community—someone whose story will inspire, challenge, and spark the kind of conversations that lead to unexpected collaborations.

"We couldn't be more excited to bring Creative Mornings back to Toowoomba," says Amy Willis. "It's about creating space for those magical moments where coffee, creativity, and community come together."

"We’re here to support our region’s creatives and encourage connection in our community," says Jessica Staskiewicz.

"We welcome you to come along in February," adds Madeleine Riehl.

Whether you’re sketching between meetings, crafting after hours, or building a creative vision, Creative Mornings offers a place to connect, share, and be inspired. Because sometimes, the best ideas start with a coffee and a simple “Hey, what if…?”

what is creativemornings?

In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.

Today, attendees gather in 207 cities around the world. Volunteer hosts organise local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. CreativeMornings remains free thanks to the support of local sponsors, generous venues, and long-term global partners.

Everyone is welcome. Everyone is creative.

Just register beforehand to reserve your spot. And if you need a little help convincing your boss to let you attend, they’ve even got you covered. Follow @cm_toowoomba for more info.
