To celebrate Toowoomba Carnival of Flower’s 75th anniversary, this exhibition brings together artworks by local artists that respond to the theme ‘Carnival Queens’. It blends contemporary art with Carnival’s rich history.

Artist Henri van Noordenburg’s practice has always been strongly informed by rich histories of the Dutch Golden Age with a focus on the heavy symbolism therein. Time of the Signs is carved into being with ritualistic fervour while listening almost solely to pop-minimalist arrangements of Max Richter’s Exiles album.

Exhibition | POSTWORLD
POSTWORLD features Australian artists who create parallel universes. Audiences will be invited into playful, sublime, poetic, and cautionary explorations of contemporary works and installations by nationally significant artists. Drawing on the detritus of the human epoch, these worlds have their own internal iconographies and languages existing in alternate time and space.

InStudio Art Trail
The 2024 High Country InStudio Art Trail spans over four weekends, providing visitors with multiple opportunities to embark on this self-drive adventure. From 10am to 4pm each day, follow the trail to studios, halls and galleries all brimming with artistic brilliance. No bookings are required and entry is completely free, allowing vistors to freely indulge in the beauty of art.
