An exhibition led by local artist Nadine Reynolds, featuring collaborative pieces with fifteen emerging young artists, “Made to Move” blends vibrant paintings, detailed drawings, and embroidered silk works, creating a shared artistic dialogue between generations.

Reynolds, celebrated for her acrylic paintings on silk, honours the creative vision of these young artists by bringing their expressive pieces to life on this rich medium. The exhibition promises a visual experience where textures and colours interweave, creating a dynamic showcase that reflects both youth and seasoned artistry. In addition, a team of adult embroiderers collaborated with the artist in sewing circles earlier this year, adding layers of craftsmanship and community spirit to the pieces on display.

Nadine Reynolds shares, “Working with these talented young artists has been deeply rewarding. Made to Move is more than an exhibition—it’s a testament to the creativity and boldness of the next generation. Each piece tells a story, a shared moment, and an emotion.”

The public is invited to attend the opening event on Saturday, 16th November at 4 pm to experience this remarkable collection. In support of The Lighthouse Toowoomba, a special silk scarf and pocket square workshop will also be held on Wednesday evening, 13th November, as a fundraiser for the venue.

The exhibition will run until December 14th at The Lighthouse Toowoomba, located on the corner of Hume and Margaret streets. Admission is free, providing the community with a chance to witness an extraordinary blend of local talent and experience the magic of collaborative art.
